Multi-Currency Converter (Manual Rate Input)

Pick a currency, enter the exchange rate yourself, and instantly convert any amount between a foreign currency and US dollars. A converter hub for comparing 30+ currencies side by side.

⚠️ These are not live exchange rates. The default rate for each currency is a reference example (as of May 2026). For accurate results, enter the latest rate yourself from Google, your bank, or a financial site. The rate you type for each currency is saved automatically.

Check the latest rates on Google ("USD to EUR"), your bank's published rates, or a financial site. This tool does not fetch external rates automatically.

How to use the multi-currency converter

This is a hub tool for comparing several currencies on one screen. Enter an amount (in foreign currency) at the top, choose a currency in each block, then type the latest exchange rate into the "1 currency = ? USD" field. The same amount is instantly converted into US dollars for every currency you add. For example, enter 100, then add US dollar, Japanese yen, and euro to compare what 100 of each is worth in USD side by side. Use "+ Add currency" to add more blocks and "Delete" on any block to remove it.

This page does not load live exchange rates automatically. Because it uses no external rate API, the default rates shown are only example values for input convenience — they are not "today's rate." Exchange rates move many times per day, so always enter the latest value you confirmed on Google, your bank or brokerage app, or another financial source. Once you enter a rate, it is saved per currency in your browser, so when you return your updated values are restored exactly as you left them.

The mid-market rate differs from the price you actually pay. The calculation above is based on the rate you enter, which is typically the mid-market reference rate. When you actually buy foreign currency, a spread (margin/fee) is added so you pay more, and when you sell you receive less. Banks, card networks, and money apps each apply their own spread and any preferential rate, so check the real "buy" and "sell" prices before exchanging. For a single currency pair you can use a dedicated USD/EUR or USD/JPY calculator, and for an A↔B conversion that routes through a reference currency, use a cross-rate page.

Why exchange rates fluctuate

Currency values float against one another based on interest rates, inflation, trade balances, central-bank policy, and market sentiment. A rate you see in the morning can shift by the afternoon, which is exactly why this converter asks you to supply the current number rather than guessing on your behalf. Treat the built-in defaults as a starting point and overwrite them with a fresh figure each time you need a precise result.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Q. Where do I enter the exchange rate?

A. When you select a currency, a "1 currency = ? USD" field appears. Enter the latest mid-market rate you found and the conversion updates instantly. The tool does not pull live rates for you.

Q. Can I compare several currencies at once?

A. Yes. Add more currencies and enter a separate rate for each to compare the same amount converted into USD across multiple currencies on one screen.

Q. Are the rates I enter remembered next time?

A. Yes. The last rate you entered for each currency is saved, so when you return your updated rates are restored automatically.
